Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong... in the first post, could line pressure have been the varying source behind a gear not engaging? The reason I ask is because I've heard of folks switching to the 46-mod (Vacuum Modulator Kit) to counter pressure issues with the 60Es. Seems the lack of correct pressure is the culprit behind someone having gear engaging issues, whereas meeting the pressure requirement at the commanded time helps with proper gear selection. (<--- run-on sentence, but you get the message)

Is that a correct statement? Maybe this could be a part of Tig's issue.

shadow,
Well, I feel better that its happened to someone besides me. It hasnt happened again. Thankfully I have an extended warranty, if it happens again, I'll be making an appointment with my dumbass dealer.

1BAD,
I never wouldve thought about that. Maybe turning up the line pressure would help. I'll have to ask around about that.

Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it.

You'll get mixed opinions about that. Talk to a professional regarding raising pressures. That may or may not be the best route, but it is an option.

I'm going to call a tranny shop that swapped my last tranny(in my old truck), see what they say.
Its an option, not that I would want to do it in a stock tranny.
I'm going to call around first.

Thanks again

Could possibly be a U joint? just a guess, sometimes it seems like a slip situation but its just slack in the u joint...or the slip yoke could be slipping in the t case
