Well I just got finished installing my Tranny, I had the Transgo HD kit, Corvette servo, 3-4 super servo, and a Dacco 2300-2500 stall put in. I took the Tranny out and took it to the Transmisson guy who installed the kit and servos, I already had the servos and a regular Transgo shift kit, but he suggested I go with the HD2, so he gave me the 40 bucks for the regular kit and charged me another 40 for the HD2. He installed everything for 175. Then I installed the Tranny and TQ converter. It was not that bad, it took about 4 hours to take tranny out then 2.5 to put it back. It took 13.5 Qts of fluid to fill the darn thing back up, but that was with a new Tranny cooler as well. Now for the good stuff. First impressions are pretty good. The Tranny definately shifts a lot better, it barks a good 2nd when you get on it but is still pretty smooth under normal conditions. The converter stalls to 2500 when you brake stall it, and about 2200 when you just punch it from a dead stop. I am pretty pleased at this point, but I have not driven it much. Traction is definately going to be an issue!! I will post times March 19th when the local strip opens.

I dont think there is a HD2, I meant the HD, sorry. After a little more driving, I am very happy with the set up, shifts are nice and firm, and very quick, stall is nice, low end response is great, I just have a major traction problem. On the way home from a friends house tonight, I raced a Toyota Tacoma with the 6 in it and completely killed him, we went from a red light and of course I spun from the start but had him by 2 cars out of the hole, then we went from a 40 and agiain I immediately pulled him by 2 cars then from a 60, I let him jump me then went by him. It was fun but not much of a race.

Without tuning changes the mechanical change from the shift generally doesn't work well with the stock PCM telling it to do one thing and shift wanting something different. It is better to match the machanical changes with changes to the PCM. Not a requirement, but just speaking from experience my tranny doesn't shift right with stock tranny settings and my shift kit. I also have the HD2.
