Default Tranny fittings for cooler line replacement (braided steel)

Ok i've just spent some time searching the boards, google etc. And i havent come up with any hard data on what type of fitting to use on my tranny for the braided SS lines i'm using to replace my stock steel ones.

Just from looks i'm guessing its some sort of AN fitting, but i'm not sure as i dont know how they size those darned things.

Help please, i just pulled my engine out and i'm too tired to think too much

Get in touch with Speed Engineering and find out what they supply. The fittings and braided line I got from them were very nice.

Why are you wanting to replace your stock steel lines?

Well normally i wouldnt go to this much trouble. Except that my stock lines are up against my headers, and they started to kink when i attempted to get them out of the way. So i just left them against my headers for a bit, and now that my Engine and tranny are out, i better do the job right!

Well I suppose that's a good reason - I just redid mine this weekend cause they were up against the headers as well. The thing that's nice about the fittings I got from SE is that they are reusable. I have installed them three different times now with no problems.
