Default Tranny Done? 4L80E

Have a 2002 gmc sierra 2500HD 6.0/4l80/261HD
Came to a stop sign last night went to take off it jumped and made a grinding noise. Pulled over didnt see much. Came home drained fluid out of t case (about a cup full of black fluid)

Pulled t case figuring that i toasted it. Take it into the tranny guy and he says it looks like it was fine and shouldnt have made any noise and nothing to cause the jumping.

He said i most likely took the rear carrier out of my tranny. Told me to take the pan off and inspect for metal. Is this to much metal (truck has just over 200k miles) Truck is on 35s and get truck pulled every weekend.

Yes, that is too much metal and at over 200k miles, you're about due for a rebuild.
