the f-body has a diff. lining on the clutch (more slip)
but the stall can be raised to 2300-2400 with 2.0 STR in a 5.3 or 6.0
we can rework them also
call me 775 826 9955 Mike or Dave

So do you have any of these Re-Stalled TB converters sitting around that someone could just buy or is it pretty much just buy your own and send it in? And if so, how much would one go for?

I had my 2400 cut open to be cleaned,I watched this converter builder inspect it before it was cleaned re-welded and balanced.According to him it was just a stock truck converter with bent fins.Next time I need a approx.2400 stall I will send the local guy a 4mi take out converter I have, and have it restalled. My cost will be around $125.The 2400 stall came with a lot of balance weight and went back together with a lot of weight, only speculating but it may have not met GM specs so it became a core that they sell to big time core buyers.BTW the converter delivers everything for my needs,I think it is max if you tow often and more than 5k lbs

most Furnace brazed converters will need extra weight to offset the brass flows in the oven and does not mean that it is bad (brass is heavy and a small puddling will cause this)
We can not get the converters from GM any more so we have dropped that model
To the untrained eye this might look like a stock converter but it is not!
