I was told to check my pinion angle at launch or even during a power brake to see if the angle raises much above parallel to the ground...if so, install the the Cal-Tracs
if your not getting any wheel hop i wouldnt wory about installing them...if i wasnt hopping i wouldnt even be looking into them.

I have kp's 4 bar and it hop's bad any info on that?

Looking at their design, It seems to me that the 4 bar is designed for travel for laying the truck on the ground.......................NOT drag racing. A conventional race style 4 link is completely different.
