Towing TB owners inside
#1
I just pulled with my wifes TB for the first time. I pulled a 6X10 enclosed motorcycle trailer empty. I am very dissappointed. The transmission was constantly searching. It really needs a tow haul mode or O/D off. Any suggestions or comments maybe even an electronic mod. If I can't solve this problem, I am upgrading to a Tahoe, for my limited towing needs. I know the engine has plenty of power. It is an 02 obvioulsy an I-6.
Thanks

i have done semi limited towing with my 02 tb and never really noticed it going back and forth. i pull a 8x10 trailer loaded with atv's and such. i never had a problem. i do agree that a tow/haul button would have been nice.

So, I agree putting it in 3rd would take it out of overdrive. My impression of the 4l60e was it was a 4-speed and the converter locks for overdrive, not a 3-speed with a locking converter. If I am wrong I am a big idiot. So, putting it in third really puts the rpm's up for highway driving. I just want to keep the converter from locking just like every other truck in the world that was designed to pull (excluding the 99 and newer chevy's with the tow/haul, I am not sure what exactly that does, it seems to like an overdrive off) My trailblazer feels like the stuck left over 4l60e's from f-bodies in didn't do any programing for a towing option.
