Not real hard, here is a procedure list (someone add if i miss something since i'm tired)

~Drop Drivesaft
~Drop Starter
~Unbolt Old TC from the Flexplate (3 Bolts)
~Remove Shift Linkage (Snaps Out)
~Unplug Wiring Harness (barrel Connector and P/N switch)
~Remove Tranny Lines (Little Clips)
~Remove Tranny Mount Bolt
~Loosen Tranny Crossmember
~Remove any wiring harness Clips (a bunch)
~Support tranny with Tranny Jack
~Remove tranny Crossmember
~With alot of extensions and Wiggles Remove Bellhousing Bolts (15mm deep i think, and it helps to let the tranny sag a little for the 12 o'clock top bolt, 8-9 Bolts total)
~Remove tranny from vehicle being careful of the flexplate
~Remove old TC from the front of tranny
~Fill New TC with 1.5 quarts ish of trany fluid
~Place new TC on the input shaft and rotate until it clicks, then keep gently pushing and rotating it will click 3 times
~Reverse removal instructions to reinstall

I would say go for it, there isn't anything that is truly hard about it, it just takes a lil time to do. Hell the hardest thing for me was getting the dipstick(tranny fluid) back in... Just don't get in a rush

Very happy with my Yank SST3200 on a mildly tuned 5.3L cam-only powerplant. Not too tight, not too loose. Can stall up to rated stall speed (when I can actually get the brakes to hold), and will flash dead on when I want it. Puts the rpms right in the best power range. Reliability is better than the PTC I had. Yank's customer service a great too (my personal experience).

On a side note, PI has a great reputation. I doubt you'll hear many (if any) have a bad thing to say about the Vigs. FLT used to list Vigs for sale on their site. PI's TCs will cost you a few more ducketts, but don't go super cheap.
