Torque Converter or gears?

should i save for another week or two and buy a new stall (3200-3800 range) or buy some 4.30s tomorrow? i have a tt2600 in my truck now but im going to be replacing my trans within a couple of weeks (sitting in the driveway broken right now). i have 3.73s but want more gear. eventually i will have a differennt stall and 4.30s but which should i buy first?
what stall in that range should i look into? i drive my truck everyday and i do occasionally tow (~6000lbs) with it. thuck is an ecsb with a fully bolted 5.3 and tr224 cam.

I'd talk to Chris & Dave on the towing thing. That could change your choices. If it were me, I'd do stall now, while trans is goin in. Do trans & stall at same time, unless u like dropping trannies.

personally you got a good converter, i would talk with chris and have him restall it to what youre wanting.. 32-38

why would a TT be any different? i mean i dont know, he did do my triple disc, restalled it from a 4k to a 44k flashing at 4500.. might be a good question to ask him..

Yank told me you can't go any bigger then the 3600 I have with my Pro Truck 11" cause I called to see if he could make it a 4000. I'm pretty sure that 3000 is the limit on the TT. If you wanna go bigger your gonna have to get a 9" SST. But then Dave will tell you NO TOWING! I really like my Yank but if I could have got a triple disk Circle D and had the towing ability with a 9" converter I probably would have..

i have spoke with dave about the pt3600 before and i would love to have that converter, wanna sell yours? lol
does circle d have a triple disk 9" converter that has towing capability? i thought all 9" converters were too small for towing
i want to go from 3.73s to 4.30s because 99% of my "playing" is at the track so the extra gear to get 5200lbs off the line would definitely be nice. im not extremely worried about gas mileage since i only have a 9 mile drive to work and dont drive too much anymore since all of my family has moved away
