Ok, I installed my Nelson tune which as standard I believe he removes all TM since I told him I had a transgo going in at the same time. I since drove it about 200 miles with the tune in and stock trans so is there a chance the truck would try and put back TM? Can it do that after realizing the trans has no shift kit in it? The reason I ask is because I am familiar with CNC machine parameters and editing them but what confuses me is the ability of the trucks ecu to "learn". It cant change hard parameters that are set by a custom tune can it?

I think once it is in the tune, its in the tune. I would get the shift kit in ASAP. Make sure you change the accumulator piston, Where did you get your shift kit? I would be easy on the trans until then.

I got the transgo HD-2 and vette servos from oregon perf trans and i got pinless accum pistons (both) and OD billet servo from 4l60-E.com. All those parts are going in as I type this so it got maybe 160 miles on it between mods tops.
