Default Tires For My 2005 Colorado Crew Cab 4x4 Z71 Pickup

I bought this truck in August during the GM employee discount sale and got a great deal on it (from an MSRP of $28500 to a sale price of $22044). The problem is I live in snow country here in the mountains of NE Pennsylvania and the tread on the General Ameritrac TR tires that came on the truck don't look nearly aggressive enough to do me any good. Plus, when I went to the Tire Rack site to read the reviews on these tires, I found that the majority had negative comments regarding them, mostly concerning the poor traction they provide. :umm:

Even though I hate to replace brand-new tires, it won't be the first time, and if I find after the first snow that they are as bad as I'm afraid they're going to be, I'll get rid of them.

Anyway, I've narrowed my possible replacement choices to two tires. The first is the Bridgestone Dueler A/T D693 and the second is the Dunlop Radial Rover RVXT. I've had earlier versions of both tires on previous trucks and was equally satisfied with their winter performanc though the Bridgestone may have been a little better. The Bridgestones are a bit more expensive, but cost won't be a factor in the decision.

So, which tire do you think I should choose and why?

Thanks!

Here are comparison photos of the two tread designs.

I would go with Toyo Open Country A/T's or the Bridgestone Deuler A/T Revo's. I live up in snow country as well, and people have had good success with these tires.

Thanks for the suggestions, fellas. I haven't seen the Toyos, but I'll definitely check them out now.

I like the Toyo A/T's. I got them on my stock rims and they have good wet/dry traction and work very well off road for such a quiet tread.
