Default Those with a DJM drop

im getting ready to replace the rear shocks. i noticed that there is only one shock extender in the back.its on the passenger side. is there suposed to be a shock extender on the drivers side too? if i get drop shocks will i need to keep the shock extender on the passenger side or can i take it off. its running whatever shocks the djm kit came with(they suck)

2001 silverado ecsb. djm 3/4 drop. its the springs, shackles and hanger kit.

I bought my kit used from a member on hear and he put a second extender on the drivers side. They only come with one for the passenger side though. I think you have to run two different shocks because of the one extender. I know the extender is there to make a better angle for the shock, but I don't understand why its only needed on one side.

My DJM flip kit moves the rear end back further in the vehicle so the driveshaft length doesnt have to be changed. That stands one shock up and lays the other one down. Thats why the extender is only needed on one side. I assume your hanger kit does the same thing.

I have a 4/6 on mine and it is the same as Kansas T said. I believe that the shocks are the same for the 3/4 and ths 4/6. That should mean that you already have drop or lowering shocks on thereso the bracket would stay.

The extender on the passenger side is to correct the shock angle. The kit only come with one.
