Like mentioned above, hotchkis kits will help out the handling well. Anytime you change springs though, leaf or coil, the ride will suffer some, but you will recieve better handling. If I am not mistaken, the stock shocks can still be used, but you will get better results with different shocks. I have heard a lot of people reccommend Doetsch Tech shocks (spelled something like that). And for improved handling, you can do like mentioned above and get the complete hotchkis kit that includes the front and rear swaybars.

Yup, I also favor the Hotchkis 2/4 kit for the handling but I would also look at the Mcgaughy's kit and DJM. They are very good kits and. I belive the best way to keep the ride just like stock is using LCA's like DJM kit. But either ones are good.

I would recommend the Doetsch Shocks as well. They are very, very quality shocks and give the best ride comfort. Stay away from Toxics, I have heard lots of bad things about them. The Doestsch guy I talked to told me they are no good.

Hotchkis 2/4 handling is much better but the ride does suffer somewhat but I like a bit stiffer ride, shock are a must IMO edelbrock IAS have worked out for me.

I imagine you mean the 99-present trucks, which are the same suspensions. There are differences between regular cabs and extended cabs though.

My djm kit rides real smooth, so that is an option if you are looking for a softer ride. The lower center of gravity alone will make the truck handle better, but I am sure the hotchkis kit will be even better.
