Default thinking about droping the hoe

i want to drop the hoe. i'm tired of the roll this thing has. i thinking of bagging the rear. i don't want it to ride ruff. i probably won't go any bigger than 20's as far as wheels go.

so what are my options here? any body got pics? any body here have a bagged hoe?

I used Eibach drop springs in the rear and turned the stock torsion keys about 3 turns up front. Leveled it out. I removed the bump stops in the front. Rides fine on the pavement. Just dont hit a speed bump or you will throw your drink right out of the cup holder. (on 24's)

It has only bottomed out once. The intersection is pretty bad and I knew better but, I was running the light

Any other time on a smooth surface its fine. Speed bumps and pot holes I avoid as much as possible. My ride issue has more to do with the 305/35/24 tires.

On 20's with "normal" sized tires you shouldnt have an issue.

it a torsion bar front end. when i bought the tahoe i thought it was just push button 4wd. then i wanted to see if the 4wd worked and thats when i relized it was already in 4wd (AWD) and i researched from there. it took for ever to get the info i wanted. lol

1slowhoe: so would you sugestthe eibach springs? as in would you buy them again or another company?

Hmm. They work fine and were easy to install. I also liked that they came with the bars to replace on the Autoride system to compensate for the height difference. The only thinkg I don't like is it didn't seem to really drop 3". Looked more like 1 1/2" but that could just be me eyes. If you wanna measure from the ground to the bottom of the center of your wheel well we can compare stock height to my height.

If I was going to do it all over I would get a complete kit with drop shocks, spindles etc..whatever was requried to do it right. That can get pretty pricey.
The Eibachs were good quality though. I got them cheap on ebay.

thanks for the link. i'll post up my stock hight in the morning. would it be more acurate to measure from the center of my wheel to the wheel well. because my tires may be taller than yours. i'll do both and measure my tire hight. i think they are like 32.5" or so.
