Default TH400 shipped!

Talked with Carl Rossler today and he said my tranny is ready and being shipped out today, can't wait. One question for the guys that have one, is the crossmember mounting the same as the 4l80e lengthwise? I was going to either order a crossmember from Speed Engineering or modify mine. I am getting the long tail shaft. Transbrake time!

i believe th th400 is a little shorter than the 80e. And on the crossmember, modify yours, there is no need to buy one.

Mines on its way too! As far as I know, the mount will be quite a bit different than an 80E. Currently my cross member is modified for a T56, and all I have to do is space the mount up an inch or so. Try looking at TCI's website, the have all dimensions of all GM auto's in all the tailhousing configurations.

3 inches shorter than the 4l80e as far as the housing goes. I don't know about the mounting location

It's like 2.75" shorter than the 60E for the 4" tailhousing.

Yeah I just looked it up, I got the long tail shaft so I can run a little bit shorter driveshaft, about 2 inches shorter. The mounting holes are about 1/16 of an inch shorter than a 4l80e, according to the TCI website. Carl Rossler was awesome, he explained how to use the transbrake, driving characteristics, drag racing tips, all kinds of stuff. It only took him 4 weeks to build it, and it has the speed sensor already installed. Can't wait, NO MORE BROKEN TRANNIES!!!!
