has anyone swapped one of these three speeds in yet?

Not sure why you would want to give up overdrive and keep a weak trans.... If it was three speed you want, I'd do a th400. The pcm would just need to think it was a standered trans. new crossmember, drive line, dipstick tube..

Search for th400 swap on here and on tech. There are several that have done it.

350's don't really like 4500 lbs like a 400 does.

I had one in my old 77 and it showed in the fluid. It would get dark alfully quick.

Im actually surprised not many people did the TH400 swap.

It's significantly lighter than the 60e let alone the 80e and its strong as all get out....and they're cheap too. It seems like the ticket for people who dont daily drive their truck, but take it to the track and race it...

well i figured since im about to start riding a motorcycle everywhere most of the time since i dont have to carry people around anymore the truck will stay parked alot and the 60e is about to die, its ridiculously bad off, so im thinking about going through with a TH400 swap since i can get them through people at work cheap i might as well just do that
