trans is acting funny lately, slipping a bit here and there, then shifting harder than hell. shifts VERY hard when you drop it from N to D, and the 1-2 shift feels like the trans is gonna sling out. threw a code PO894 the other day, i looked it up on a GTO forum, and it spoke of TCC issues...

it doesnt do this all the time, here and there it drives fine, but damnit when it shifts like this, it feels horrible... never felt one shift that hard.. like the TCM is driving the line pressure up over compensating...

any help would be appreciated guys.

trans is still stock, 52K miles on it.. i know .... only mod so far was a 40K gvw cooler on it. not running a lot of line pressure either.

drop the pan and i bet you will find a pleasent surprise goldish brown in color resembling clutch material and matalic flakes lol

i called around to a few tranny shops... best i was quoted so far was around $2K to build it right.. upgraded clutches, beast sunshell, upgraded output shaft, sprags, etc...

how much can you do it for? and how much power will it hold? i havent much money put away to keep throwing at the truck..

it has made it longer than i expected though, for a bone stock tranny

I don't know the code (i never threw one) but if the pcm is measuring excessive TCC slip it goes into a 'safe' mode and maxes out line pressure. I had that same problem at one time

i know right.

i never figured it would make it this far. the 4.8 on juice was 400+ rwhp, this one is close to that n/a.. havent sprayed it but once though.

never have had slicks on it.

mine has a good 275hp on it lol wonder how its lived through it
