What is the advantage of this stall compared to a stock truck stall?

The stall speed is a bit more than stock yet still retains good towing capacity at a cheap price compared to other stalls.

Its cheap and usually stalls up around 2100-2400 behind the 5.3 versus the stock 1700 (I believe) stall.
Gets you moving off the line faster.

thought it was about 2400 with 4.8
thought it was about 2600 with 5.3
thought it was about 2800 with 6.0

with my setup it sees about 2800-2900 flash speed

mine would stall to 2600 when i first got it, but now only makes it to 22-2300 because of the longtubes. 60' times went from 2.18-2.23 to 2.02-2.05. got a 1.95 on slicks. its a good cheap mod, but im thinking about having it restalled to 3200

foot stall wont get you the stall you want. converters go by flash stall. holding the brake will never show you the true amount of stall since rear tires will break lose before that. only way to measure true stall is with transbrake. so for the most part flash is what you go off not brake

It may be closer to that, but I was just giving a rough estimate.

Mine hits at 2800.

My hughes 2500 stalls at 2300. I figure the TB stall would be 24-2600 on a 5.3L.

Since I'm a bit lazy today due to a cold...

What GM part number are you guys ordering? I plan on putting in a TB stall when I do the 6L swap, since it should be cake with the engine out of the way....
