Default Taking the 4l80e plunge!

Im taking the plunge into the 4l80e swap

Just ordered the 4x4 swap kit from PATC for the 4l60-4l80 swap!

Going to get this 4l80e from Kingman, AZ on saturday for $500.
2001 silverado chevy truck parts 2500HD 4X4

he claims the tranny worked fine when he parked it. The transfer case went out. It seems like a good deal to me.

any suggestions on inspecting this thing? Or maybe anything usefull that i could pick off this truck?

wish me luck!

Your link was broken and didn't lead any were. It was also technically a non sponsor link so I removed it.

Pick up the Hydroboost and Pedal if it is still on the truck.

Inspecting the fluid will be the best you can do. Maybe drop the pan and make sure there are no chunks in there.

BTW in case you are not aware, you have to pull the entire trans apart to install that out put shaft. Some people have broken those shafts from PATC in the past under heavy power.

It would be better to leave the factory out put shaft in there and change the input gear in the transfer case.

HTH!
