I have a 01 yukon rear diff, complete with g80,3.73s,housing,axles, etc. I would take $200 for it. Cant remember the actual mileage, but I know its less than 36k because it was misdiagnosed and replaced under warranty.

Yeah, I'm trying to think back when to that Avalanche I had a year ago... It looked totally different under there compared to this truck.

I'm starting to doubt myself a bit though. I wonder if the LCA's mount up to the (forward) leaf spring mounts? I don't THINK so.. but...

I wonder actually be easier to strip the mounts off a coil-springed frame. Just torch the stuff rigth out, clean them up, and weld them on?

I think that tubular "crossover" tube from one framerail to the other is close to where the upper 'CA's mounted to.

Those guys doing heavy chassis work on TV make it look so easy. I'd probably be afraid to 'get on' anything I hacked in half.

I know the Jeep crowd is pretty laid back about hacking off suspension mounts and relocating them on their frames. I'm really starting to think that's a better idea now.

I know using the stock tahoe stuff would be pretty neat. But why not use a 4-Bar setup with coil overs and a panhard rod, or a triangulated 4-link and coil overs? You probably wouldn't have more than 700 bucks in it finished if you did the work yourself, which isn't really hard at all seeing how AirRide tech already sells pre-fabbed 4-bar's for bag setups. Then all you would need is a self fabbed coil-over crossmember and coil-overs, make a panhard rod or buy one and weld up a bracket for it.

IMO it would be worth WAY more than a stock tahoe setup plus it would probably be a little lighter and hold more power than the stock stuff, with the adjustability of coilovers. I also think it would be alot easier and take alot less design than adapting a 5 link GM system.

Well, I haven't thought about it because I wasn't aware of it. Not to keen on the suspension issue, all I know is I want something different.

Got any links LS1S10?

Thanks.

Stopped by the dealer and checked out some of the Tahoe suspension. That ***** beefy. Alot to them. The guys there were sorta just bull crappin, didn't really know anything about doing the swap.

Definetly would be easier to go with an aftermarket coil setup.

They had a blue Joe Gibbs stepside up there w/ a Radix. I didn't know they came with electric fans? Pretty cool.

Zippy, your gonna have to hook us truck guys up with some e-fans bro

New question. Anyone have any links to some rear coil setups for our trucks? I'd like to take a look at some options.

Thanks for everyones help.

Sportside, you can check out AirRide tech at stylin concepts and alot of other places on there rear suspension setup's for bag applications. All you would be doing is substituting bags for coilovers. If you looking for something really beefy and dont mind taking a few measurements....then give Jason a holler at http://suicidedoors.com/. His 4 Bar and link rear setups are extremely beefy....especially his sqaure lower links for a triangulated 4-link, probably the biggest link bars on the market period. He uses rubber bushings to so you don't have to worry about constantly replacing Heim's if you daily drive it. Im going to be putting one of his triangulated 4-links under my LS1 S-10, i've asked him about launching on slicks and how it would hold up. He just kinda chuckled and told me if i can break his link bars....he'll eat them. They are actually thicker than the link bars found on most drag race only 4-link setups, with 2" OD bushings instead of 3/4" Heims. And to this day, as much drag racing that i've been around...i have never, nor seen anyone break a link bar.

If your looking to spend a little more and don't mind cutting into your bed. Check out Summit or Jegs, they have complete back half kits for 4-link and ladder bar setups that will also tub the rear out for some big *** meats. Hope this helps

I was debating whether to bag my truck or supercharge it. As you can see. I went with the supercharger. However, I looked at Air Rides stuff and it looked okay in terms of strength. The welds looked good, but the metal didn't seem to be real heavy duty. I looked at KP components and there 4 link suspension components looked a lot stronger. They make bolt on kits for our trucks, 99-up full size chevy's. Here is a link to some of KP components stuff, but I can't find their actual website. But I know there ads are in some truck magazines under KP components. Sorry I wasn't more help.
