yeah i was thinking the same thing when i read your post. I barely ever see the interstate anyway. I'll most likely be sticking with the 27" tire on the street. I have 26" slicks for the track. If i switch tires then i'll switch gears as well, but don't plan on it.

I think im going to give the LS7 clutch a shot and see how it holds up. For the price i'll be happy if it last a year.

Well, it is all about balance for your application. If you rarely hit the interstate then i'd go a little more agressive on the gear. I'm not exactly happy with 1st gear with my 4.30's & 31.5" tires.

Just a turbo 4.8, but I have A LOT of weight compared to you RC guys. That's ultimatley what kept killing the stage 3's;the daily use with +5000lbs on it.

For the record I had 4.56's with a 31.9" tire and it needed more. On the hiway I'd chug along in 6th or it'd be in boost. So I'd either use 5th (which defeasts the purpose of a 6spd) or I'd speed (85-90) in 6th.

Spec recommended that I go with that or a Stg. 5. I didn't want to go with a Stage 5 though due to drivability and I've heard that Exoskels are a bit much to drive with daily. Plus I don't think they're really designed to work stock hydraulics.

The stage 5 is race only according to Spec. The 3+ has better street manners than the 3 supposedly and is rated to 850 ft lbs.

Yeah, stg 5 is a solid hub disc and is not daily drivable.

The stage 3+ is the stage 5 pressure plate and the stage 3 clutch, or vice versa. I was told it has stage 5 holding power and stage 3 streetability.
