ok boys i just got a t56 minus the bell housing for 450 needs new synchronickers/blocking rings what ever there called but all i know is almost everyone i find needs them might be the fact the stockers are made from paper
as some may know my avalanche is ridin on 37in kumho directional mud terrains woo hoo
i notice alot of guys are running 5.13s and 4.88s in there trucks but thats with a stock size tire
so what should i run on my avalanche lowest i can find for even a 14bolt is 5.38s which i think is still to high so i know this sounds a little extreme but i can usually find rockwell rears on the cheap i think around $500 or so so how would a 6.72 do??? and i dont think ill have to worry bout blowing that up
dam this truck is getting expensive

Honestly, you'd be better off with a NV4500 with that tire. The T56 is a close ratio car transmission and is a stretch for a regular 1/2 ton truck to run but can be done. In your case, you just need a lower first and second gear. You can't really get a low enough rear gear (within reason).
Without all the axle swapping, as you've said. Just be much more financially to your advantage to stay away from the T56.
