T56 in a 2000 Silverado

Thanks for the info. Yes, I did a search on this site and others. I got mixed reviews, some liked this brand, and some did not ext...ext. I have read alot about the clutches that people have tried. I am no expert here let me be the first to tell ya that. The best reviews have been this Oz 700 that I have seen. All positive reviews (power ranged from stock to 650hp) I have not found one negitive post on this clutch yet. That does not mean it's not one. I just did not find it. It's like $980, alittle much but it is getting rave reviews. I was reading a post on another site, they took alot of the popular clutches on the market and tested them on the street and the track. The price range of the clutches where $300 to $1500. I think the power level was around 500hp (ls1's). They liked this one the best. For street and track. I forget where I was reading it. I was reading it last week. It was one of those nights where the baby had me up all night, and I was not pumping on all cylinders. Or maybe I dreamed it all up, and the info is false. I don't know. It's just the 2 cents I've picked up here and there.

I figue with the sts turbo, lq4, fmic, 42lbs injectors, walbro fuel pump. I think I should be in the 500-550hp range. I need a good clutch. I dont want to give my left nut for a clutch, I think I may try to just get buy with a billet flywheel and a zo6 clutch. I want the Oz 700 clutch, but that is 900+. So did you figure out the flywheel issue? How did the swap go? Any other complications?

The lq4 is a low compresion 6.0. I was going to go with the spec3 and I read a few post about them blowing up and damaging the car. That put fear in my belly, and I started looking at other clutches.

But the ws6 trans am weighs 3,800lbs. My truck weighs 4,200lbs, I think I will be fine. I just bought the 6 speed. I am now waiting on the lq4 to arrive, STS turbo is in the garage, I can't wait. I wonder what clutch I should use spec 3? (spec 3 recommends billet fly wheel) Or should I just save alittle doe and use the Z06 set up? (z06 is alot cheaper)

I used a scallop spacer ring 1/2" ( McLeod, Ind - 8703-02) also, 2 pins - 8707-22. I am now facing problems with the clutch slipping so I am looking at adjustable master cyl. We will see though.

Yeah! I was talking to a guy the other day that had a formula, and he was in the 3400's. The Ws6 package is heavier, form what I understand. Thanks for the info Xrevx1, I would never of figured that one out. I hope I don't need it. As far as towing goes, I would look at the towing rating of the chevy SSR. It has a 6 speed, but it's a totally different suspention, and its a close ratio trany.
