swapping gears????

Default swapping gears????

i'm wanting to swap my gears out. i have 3.42 with the g80. i'm wanting to go to 3.73. what do i need and can i get it from summitracing? I have a gift certificate to summit and thats why i'm asking. How much will it cost for the swap?

You should be able to find an install kit from them and the gears you want. Other than that, you'll need dial indicators, torque wrenches, and know what is/how to set the proper pinion pre-load, ring gear to pinion backlash, and so forth.

ya, there should be kits out there that have everything you need. the kits should come with all the bearrings and shims you need.

if you don't have posi, i recommend putting one in at the same time you change the gears since the carrier will already be out.
