Im glad ya did bud, i didnt want to say anything that would come off as negative but getting rid of that hose is a good thing.

My bud had a rubber line come off a flared end and he got a ride home on the flatbed, also contributed to failed 3-4 clutches.

Enough of that, need a video of that bad boy running! Wanna hear that PC Whine!!!!!

You could convert entirely to an fittings and rubber hose for ~150, or stainless braid for ~200

Ive used several sets of these...
-6 AN Transmission Oil Cooler Fittings GM 4L80E, Towers | eBay

I wanted to bypass the rad so I went with the braided hose straight to the trucool. But to each his own

Thanks for the advice. That would be a nice setup too. Did you notice a difference in temps by bypassing a radiator?

You keep from running the risk of the end tank on the radiator from bursting due to higher trans pressure and taking out your nice transmission due to coolant in your trans fluid.

Thanks for the link. Sorry for the small highjack as well. Probably pick those up.

BTW i ran my 80e with a regular fitting in the rear for probably 15k miles or more. I just recently put the deep fitting back into it.
