Question suggestions?

I have a TransGo HD2 that I am going be installing hopefully next weekend, and my question would it be better idea to buy another valve body and install it on that then put it in the truck?

Do valve bodys go bad? Does mileage have a factor on them?

I moved this thread to the GM drive-train section so you might get a better response
I have never heard of a valve body going bad or of anyone replacing one that they didn't screw up putting in a shift kit

Thanks for the move.
Well I was thinking sice it is going to be a learning trip for me I did not want to loose something, I have that kind of bad luck.
I can get the valve body for like 55 bucks. That is why I am woundering about that...
