Default Stock Stall Converter Suggestion Needed

First the truck short list details.
2005 Z71 4x4 ECSB
Radix @7psi on a stock L33 5.3 getting basically 387HP/395TQ on the dyno August summer temps.
3.42:1 gears.
I normally run a stock stall with no complaints and have never driven a high stall vehicle.

I recently lost the trans and converter (Circle D stock stall) and had the new built trans with converter sent to my installer and they sent an FTI 2800 stall by mistake (a mix up) and I don't like it.
Its a daily driver and I like to ease around alot and its a lot of Wahhh Whaaa going on. Getting it to shift up at medium speeds takes pedal work.

The Radix makes good power down low and I believe the 3.42:1 gearing is not enjoying the 2800 stall.

I need a stock stall that can handle my meager 387/395 power.

I would enjoy hearing your words and suggestions on the matter.

When I had my Whipple, I had an FTI 3k but it was a tight stall.

It also sounds like some tuning may need to happen to fully reap the benefits of the stall.

I loved my 3k stall behind the Whipple. At 2k it made 9psi. Imagine the fun factor.

Thanks, Mine must be loose because it sits still in drive with no pedal.

What kind of tuning changes. I use HPT.

Post your tune. There are enough of us self tuners that can give you some advice.

OK, Here she is.
The trans change mentioned in the title was a tweak to keep it from hunting in and out of OD at a slow cruise in top gear.
Its from 9/5/16
