Also, Is this your daily driver of a weekend crusier? If its just your weekend truck you can get away with alittle more converter. I even DD my truck whick has a 3700 RPM converter.

Yeah, if you wanted to get a little more out of a converter go with a 3400. The 3400 would be a smaller diameter converter though vs the larger 278mm Circle D. You can only get a 278mm up to 3200rpm stall, but some companies might tweak it for you up to about 3300rpm max. The smaller diameter converters will have more performance than the 278mm by the way. The 278mm are more tame and will act like stock until you stomp on it, and this might be a better idea for you if you have a stock trans. Regardless of what you pick, I would pick up a bigger tranny cooler if you don't already have one.

Most people would probably get a 3400-3600 converter with that cam btw, if they weren't on a budget.

I had a 10.5" 3600 in my truck but had to take it out to get rebuilt. I had them lower it to 3400 and I regret it. With the stall speed at 3600, the truck launched a lot harder...

I have a 245mm tripple disk 4C(3600-3700) converter from Circle-D in my truck. I can brake stall to 3600. Takes off like a bat out of hell lol. Cuts high 1.7 60' like it sits in my sig.
