It's time to replace my brake hoses, the steel tube part is about to crumble apart from rust. My mechanic friend says it is from not being driven enough, the condensation doesn't get dried off when vehicles just sit.
I have no problem finding OEM-type rubber hoses. Of, course, I might as well get the good stuff, but I can only find pre-made stainless braided hoses for 1500s.
Does anybody know where I can get them in stock, not lifted length? If my truck was a year newer, it would be classified HD, if that helps to know what ones I need.
Thanks, Mike.

I found out from the dealer today that there was a design change in the 2000 model year. Something about the way the lines on the hoses are bent. I could see why nobody would want to make aftermarket ones.
