Default Stahl converter?

Ok guys I already ordered my LT's, and cam so I would like to get a stahl for my truck. I am a competitive bass tournament fisherman as well, so I tow my boat at least four times a month. I know because of this I am going to have to limit the amount of stahl. I ordered a TSP 224/224 cam with springs and push rods, LT's and going to have nelson tune her. So I am trying to get some opinions on a good stahl amount for my application.

A site sponsor, Yank, offers a 2600 rpm stall convertor that is still considered by them for towing. I'm looking at purchasing one for my '00 Z71 4x4. I just installed 4.56's and a Tru Trac running 33.5 tires. Price is right too.
Just my .02.

With towing DEF don't go over 2,800 - 3,000 stall. I have a Midwest "3,200" in my truck but its for a LS1 car so its loose with my bolton 6.0L and is really a 3,500 or so. The heaviest load I tow is a four-wheeler in the bed and it DON'T like it.

Our 278mm 2600-2800 sounds like a good match for your setup. Good blend of performance and towing capability. You will also need to add a big trans cooler to keep the temps down. The Tru-Cool 40K is a very popular choice.

I was in the same boat as you, lol. I went with a billet Yank SC3000 stall and I love it, but can tell you that you definitely don't want anything larger. I will recommend the Yank TT2600 for towing, which is the converter velocity is talking about. If you want things a little looser, they also make a TT3000. The cam you have, if its in a 5.3, would definitely rather have the 3000 stall though. Remember that pulling down the highway, all converter's will act the same when locked up. Circle D makes a great converter as well, either would suit your needs very well.
