Default speed engineering 4l80e lowered crossmember

Do any of you guys have pics of it installed? I was under the impression that it was a bolt on piece but just found out that there is cutting and welding involved that i really dont want to do, especially for a piece that cost almost 3 bills. Does anyone know if the regular crossmember they sell bolt on?

By lowered, do you mean a section crossmember so it doesn't hang lower? If so, you should have to cut the crossmember, just the mounting points where they hang below the frame. A lot of guys on gmfullsize are running sectioned crossmembers for the stock 4l60, I would assume its about the same as the 80e. You can check there for some installed pics though.

its a crossmember that they make specifically for the 4l80e conversion on lowered trucks. Im either going to cut up my stock one and use that or send this one back for a standard crossmember if it is a bolt on piece. Im definetly not cutting up and welding this one.

I have the crossmember on my truck (no pics unfortunately) but in order to make it a true lowered crossmember, you're going to have to cut out some stuff. It's nothing major, but if I recall correctly there isn't a true bolt in lowered crossmember b/c of the way the stock mounts dip down from the frame. It wasn't a hard install, and it took the shop that I had do the work no time at all to get it in. I would stick with it as it's a nice piece and worth the fab work for the install.
