whats the rear shaft out of.. or custom?

 

I had my stocker professionally shortened by 1 11/16" and it fit perfect!!

 

what did it cost to get it shortened?

 

Would the driveshaft still need to be shortened the same 1 11/16 for a RC?

 

If it's 4x4, then yes. ANY 4x4 needs the drive shaft modifications (shorter rear, longer front.)

 

No, it's actually for a 2wd sorry forgot to mention that. Would the rear driveshaft length be different on a 2wd compaired to a 4wd?

 

I am not sure what the difference will be due to possible variations with the extension housing. Sorry I can't help, I am sure that someone else on here can!

 

$170 with new "HD" u-joints but that is with a bit of a discount and it is more expensive because it is aluminum. It worked out great. I have been beating the snot out of the truck and so far have had no issues!!

 

OK thanks, wasn't trying to hijack got caught up with DS length. Got to work last night and thought how dumb that question was, too many differences between the two like humm a transfercase Anyway, glad your swapped worked out for ya.
