solid motor mounts
#1
whats goin on everyone? ive been searching across the forums but couldnt find any additional info about making your own solids. had a few quick questions reguarding boxing in the stock mounts. ive got access to a millermatic 252 so i figured within the next few days id fab up some plates since these motor mounts are starting to get pretty worn. my first is what thickness steel should i use? and secondly should i just lay one bead across or lay multiple? also if anyone could post pictures on where exactly to plate them itd be greatley appreciated
thanks

thankfully shell be retired of daily driving pretty soon so im not worried about the extra vibes and would rather have that than dry rotting rubbers again, and i know enegry still hasnt released them for our trucks yet. and since youve been commenting on my last few posts guess this will test if my knock sensors really are tuned out or not lol

If it is a BBP tune, he wont turn them off. Thats taking all the safety out of the tune and its too much for it to come back on him on a engine blowing up cause the KS were tuned off.
