Default So i have this problem

Well I was in the process of changing out the torque converter, everything went pretty smooth. No real pboblems getting to it or getting it out, putting it all back together was a little more of a pain. But anyways to the problem. I got it all put back together, put fluid in it and started it, when I went to check it it was about 3 inches above full, I fugured it must have not pulled it through the trany. When you put it in gear it does nothing, I put it in drive and reverse and checked the fluid again and its still in the same spot. The reverse lights come on but thats it. So what could it be? O and no leaks or left over parts. sorry for the long post

did you put fluid in the TC before you put it in? You are supposed to put about a half a quart in it before install.

Pull one of the cooler lines loose. See if oil is pumping out of it. If not you broke the pump.

Chances are you didn't break all of the pump, just the gerotor. Either way, that still requires the tranny to come out and apart. No more than $50 for the part, for sure and I suggest you pull the tranny yourself to save a ton in labor. I would suspect you have a 13 vane pump already, but its hard to say.
