Installed on the front driveshaft of a 93 Typhoon:

I've got about 12 documented driveshaft breaks where the loop retained the shaft and kept it from destroying the transmission. This stock front shaft always breaks in the center of the double cardin joint.

You can see on this truck, the original shaft broke, tearing up the floor pan. He ordered the loop the next day.

Once replaced with an aftermarket front shaft, they no longer break.
