Default Small drop on a 2016 Chevy Silverado for the new guy

Hello, just received my new ride and want a quality drop kit. It looks like Bell Tech doesn't make one yet. I've read about and called McGauphs talking with them about their 2/4 drop for $430.

What do you guys recommend?

Thx

I've used McGaughys on two different vehicles and I like their products.

The only thing I don't like about that economy lowering kit is the need to cut the hanger brackets off the frame. Then you'd have to drill holes in the frame to mount the new hangers.

I didn't want to do that on my truck so I pieced my stuff together. I run the coil relocaters like in that kit to give me the option to lower the truck 2in total in the front. Then I bought lowering shackles and removed the factory lift block on the leaf springs. The lift block is roughly 1.25in thick if I remember right and with the shackles it's lowered it just over 3in in the rear and looks great to me. If I wasn't a 4X4 I would lower it down to 5in the rear.

Currently my drop is 1.5in front and 3ish in the rear. The other kits that they offer have drop leaf springs but I don't like them because now you can't carry as much in the bed and your towing weight becomes less because the springs aren't as strong.

I have DJM front arms if you want them cheap. I went with spindles and random brand rear springs.

I just placed an order for McGaughys 2" rear shackle kit, and got a good deal a while back on their drop spindles. My brother has these two plus the drop hangers for out back and it looks and drives great IMO! I'm looking for the exact same result on my 01 single cab. You may want to also order the Belltech drop shocks. They make a big difference as well.

Did something change with the suspension in 2016? If not, the Belltech kit for 2014-2015 should work.
