you need your suspension setup for DRs if you are 2wd.

i cut a 1.7 60' in my extended cab with slicks and stock suspension.

slicks are more forgiving

i recommend the m&h drag radial. they hook, im cutting 1.6s on 275/50/17 its 2wd with assassin bars.
like atomic said they last about a year to a year and a half driving them to and from the track.

I have caltracs on the truck. Tru trac 4.10 will be going in then it will be 2/4 and some good shocks. And I will be taking the middle leaf out.

Explain a little more. How do u set up susp. for DR's?

Slicks more forgiving? I'd think just the opposite.

Best place to get Assassin Bars?
There are scads of options when runnin 15", 16" not as many, but still a lot in either DRs or slicks. After that, finding either type tire in 17s, 18 or 20's, gets real hard.
I wish BFG, General, Goodyear, M&H, M/T, Hoosier, somebody, anybody would give us truck (performance world in general) guys some slicks in a 18", or better for all the guys runnin 20's, a 20" slick!!!

Somethin we could run in the 8-10" width rim, & for those w/ really wide, maybe something to cover 10-12" rim width. Heck even some 17" options for some would be great.

Hubcap, or anyone. Why take the middle leaf out? I just heard of this Sat. from a guy. As opposed to any other leaf?

IMO, it'd sell like hot cakes for all the truck guys into performance.
Affordable is not $400 a tire like the 16" M&H or was it M/T's I looked at.
$200-300 ea, even less would be better, but people would take what they could get.

I think it'd be an untapped market for tire mfr(s), cause there's a lot of hot rodded trucks out there now, unlike yrs ago. But since minimal options out there for both DR's & slicks 17", 18" & 20"s, most just slap on 16"s & 15"s, since they're more readily available in many sizes, even if their owners wanted bigger, they're just not out there.
