It actually does not look broken.First off I would never go back to that shop except to find out who f'ed your truck and **** there day up.
You need to cut all those zip ties off.Push the shift cable foward into the the bracket. It will have 2 black flaps that open and hold it into the bracket and there is metal U that slides under the black flaps to hold them there. It won't go into Park because the cable is not all the way in the bracket. If they broke the black flaps off the cable they owe you a new cable.

I looked all over it. There are no black flaps are anything to hold it into place. Just the stupid zipties.
I had to move my o2 sensor wires as well they were caught up in the shifter line of fire. Also didn't hace the clips in to hold the computer connections pushed in. So i put the little blue dude in so that doesn't become a problem.

ill bet they forgot to pull the cable out of the bracket and snapped the clips and once they saw the ost of a new cable they probably said f-it zip ties are cheaper

Yeah it was probly tech error I agree with u there 100% cuz I have mickey moused **** at work be4 2. U feel like a complete *** bag after (if u have any sense of right and wrong) and u hope it doesnt come back.
However, I disagree with the guy who said "dont take it back". You go back there and tell them hey my truck was perfectly fine be4 and u fucked it up. Put it in the air and lets go look at it and u tell me what u did and y. They NEED to buy u a new whatever is broken (shift link cable it seems). My buddy's old 454 work truck did this be4 and he had to buy a new one.

Ya, i'm gonna see what they say about picking it up from my place. Cause honestly, with the cam and not having a retune it's a bitch like i said to keep it running.
With it not goin into park it doesn't want to start for the most part.
It killed...well i killed it once then it killed two times on me coming home.
Took about an hour total inbetween each kill.
I don't have time to play around getting it to them like that.

I'd call and raise hell to the manager, tell them you don't feel safe driving it all zip tied together, and make them buy you a new cable which sounds like oughta fix your problem. After it's all said and done then don't go back to that shop. I'ts guys like that give mechanics a bad name, if it's worth fixing, it's worth fixing right.

Well the owner said his installer didn't mention the cable getting broke to him. But, the truck is getting towed to the shop by their tow guys and then they will fix the mess up of the dumbass installer.
