Default Which shocks with drop?

Ok, I've decided to go with a very mild "leveling" drop on my Z71, meaning removing the rear lift blocks and using 2WD U-bolts for 2" drop in the rear and de-cranking the torsion bars down 1" up front for a 1" drop. I want to buy some new shocks to install when I do this and I'm not sure if I should still buy shocks designated as "for a 4WD" or if I should get 2WD specific ones since my truck will be sitting at a 2WD stock height after the drop? Any suggestions? BTW, I'm looking at either Bilstein 5100 or HD series OR Edelbrock IAS shocks at all four corners! TIA for any inputs!

My truck is a a Z71 and I removed the lift blocks as well did hangers and shackles in the back and in the front spindles and decranked the keys. I have a set of belltech nitro shocks and they SUCK. Ive heard nothing but good things about edelbrock and doetsch shocks so I would look into those.

I have the nitro actives on a 4/6 amd I like em. Stay far far away from Toxic's!!! It's really a what you want kinda choice? I've heard both bad and good about the Edelbrocks, some say they aren't very responsive and others love them.

I've got some edelbrock ias for the front waiting for me to find a good deal on some ones for the rear, and then its all getting installed. I've only heard good things about them, but they are a decent amount of $$.

Do any of you guys know if it will cause problems if I buy shocks designed for a stock height 4WD? Arronmc - what don't you like about the BellTech NitroActive's? LowBlack99 - What do you like about them? I see that BellTech offers a Nitro Drop 2 shock that looks to be an improvement over the original and, according to Belltech, designed to be an "OE replacement." Anyone using them?
