Default Shocks for drag racing

is there any particular shocks that are good for racing in our trucks?? in circle track racing im used to split valves shocks and i was just wondering what best with outs trucks..just a soft or hard shock or easy up-hard down (easy up) or hard up-easy down (tie down)...by the way i have my home made caltracs so the truck raises up
