I have seen a few threads lately about specific shocks. I am going to be running a 2/4 kit with shackles/hangers and lakewood traction bars with removed overload springs for an experiment.... my truck isnt a serious 1/4 miler so some wheel hop and/or wrap are liveable. thats why I didnt drop the cash for cal tracs. What is a good moderately priced shock that will firm up the ride and give me a good launch.... now, I knwo the first thing to come out of your minds are going to be QA1's but I am trying to keep it fairly inexpensive since I will be doing other suspension stuff later on that will require changing shocks anyway... I am looking for something all around here... KYB's or Bilstiens maybe?? Let me know what you think.

 

I still say give the Edelbrock IASs a shot

 

A lot of people will recommend doetsch tech shocks. Seem to be a good shock at a very reasonable price, around $200 shipped for all 4.

 

I have heard good things about the doetsch shock but I didnt know how they would work out for any kind of grab.
