Default Shock installation ?s

Hey guys, never done any shock changes or suspension work at all for that matter aside from the rear drop shackles so bear with me here. I just ordered a full set of Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks. Is this a job that has to be done in the shop or is it something I can tackle in the parking lot? I have access to a shop but I don't have much time to spend doing stuff like this so I would rather take care of it after hours if possible. Also, are there any special tools needed? Thanks in advance.

All you need is basic hand tools and 45-60 minutes. It is easier sometimes if you use a floor jack to droop the suspension because if you let the shocks extend on you, best of luck compressing them by hand.

Cool, thanks for the info! I will probably start on it tomorrow. My stock shocks are crap now and I don't really want to wait another week or two to have time to do it in the shop.

It is easy if you jack it up as nightmarechevy said. Nothing else to remove except the shocks.
