Take your blinders off and read what I wrote, I don't care if it's to scale or not (sorry I ever mentioned that) I'm just saying that one theory doesn't work for every application and for you to act as if it does is steering people in the wrong direction.

btw - cute images

May be true, but this thread was intended for a truck that is dropped 2" in the rear using shackles "only".
There's only one way in this case.

That's my point, I guarantee if I raised my pinion with shackles only it would be worse. It's not only one way in this case. I had to raise my carrier bearing in order to allign my rear shaft. I'll keep my mouth shut now, believe what you want.

When you put the stock shackle back on go and drive it around to make sure your vibration is gone.

How is that possible? When you say, "raised my pinion" are you refering to raising the nose of the diff upward?
The shackles only will definately lower the snout of the diff. Therefore, it would have to be raised back up to get the proper angle.
If you raise your carrier bearing, it will make it even worse than it was after "only" shackles were installed.
I'm just not understanding your point of view I guess.
Not being rude man, but ****, I don't see how you would have to lower the snout even more after the shackles already did that.
Enlighten me please.

That's definitely the plan. Unfortunately not going to happen today. Laying a hardwoord floor took longer than I thought it would!

That's cool, It's not what i expected either, but the rear axle moved upward as well as rotated (in relationship to the tranny ouput of course). I guess I'm the only one that has every experienced this. Maybe I should have taken a picture before I relocated my CB. Work it out guys, doesn't matter to me. My angles are good and I have no vibes, hope yours is the same. Peace, I'm out.
