Default Shiftkit and servo's installed today!

She's alive!

I'm lovin how it shifts. I can actually feel it. It feels slightly more aggressive then when the line pressure via tune was increased.

Got the corvette servo's and hd2 shiftkit /w 1 washer in there.

Note to self: never open transmission again

Awesome work!

I did mine back in January, HD-2 and Sonnax 2nd & 4th servos. 2 washers in the 2nd accumulator. I should have only put 1, but I'll wait till I have to go in the tranny again to change it.

ReSpawn - How does the ONE washer make the 1-2 shift feel at part throttle (that is, if you can take your right foot outta the go-pedal )?

al - I would suggest NOT putting more than ONE washer in. I had that in mine recently, and the 1-2 shift at part throttle was a bit too stiff. Sure, it's fun to hear the chirping of rubber on pavement, but most people (including myself) think it's a bit to harsh for normal (non-WOT) driving. Your choice though.

I haven't opened her up all the way. I've been babying it for the next like 2-300 miles make sure everything is seated right and broken in and all that other happy trash.

anyway.. it feels freakin amazing. its a tad bit rougher then when the tune handled the shift pressure. it feels almost like a slight jerk. like a real quick shift. I konw for a fact when I let her lose she's gonna bark the rear end. I can feel it.

2-3 feels stock though... I was expecting that shift to feel rougher as well..

I also noticed that when switching between P,R,N,D there is like less of a clunk feeling that I felt before when it was stock.

hey Al.. if it feels too agressive can't you just lower the line pressure in the tune BELOW stock?

I should have asked what people were using before I did mine. However, in a big fat cow crew cab it's not as bad as in a RCSB. The only time I can chirp is with a near WOT 1-2 shift while turning, or when wet. Very noticeable though. Like I said, if I'm in there again, I'll take a washer out. Chances are it won't be around much longer

Is your tranny still cool though atleast?

I toasted mine.. it stopped working after aout 2 days.

In your tune.. how about you experiment a little with shift line pressures.. maybe you can have the shifting ease up a bit..
