Default shiftkit?

i want to buy a shift kit for a 2wd 4l60e in hopes of extending its life a little bit and better performance, so what shiftkits are reccommended? and who has better prices? also is there any tuning needed?

No tuning necessary. Transgo HD2 kit is most popular (and recommended by PT.net sponsors). Prices? You'll have to do some digging. FLT used to sell them outright, but I think they've changed the business lately, and recommend their supplier. Not sure if Performabuilt sells parts only.

Give each sponsor a chance to respond. I'm sure they will be happy to recommend based on your application and desires.

I would suggest zeroing out your shift times or you could zero out your shift times and log the "last shift time" vs TQ to determine the correct shift times to retain adaptive shift learning.... Oh and setting your tranny pressures back to stock...

and how do i do this?lol when have the shift kit put in is this something they could do?

i plan on having wheatley tune my truck soon, so i should go ahead and have him do this?

I am sure he knows how to tune for a shift kit..... also you might want to corvette servo to go with it, they are only like $12....

sent you a pm with the stuff i bought... BTW when it is installed don't put any washers in it, you will know what I am talking about when you get to that part... Also drill the smallest holes....
