Default Shifter Shaft retainer pin!!!

Can someone please tell me where i can get the small nailish looking pin that goes above the shifter shaft. Mine broke. My trans is a 95 4l80e Van transmission. There was like this stupid metal plate blocking it so i bent it a little to wedge it out. Just for future reference, is it requirrd to remove thw ENTIRE pin or just pull up on it ?

Lory transmission or WIT transmission. I cant answer your question but I have to swap the shift rod out in mine too and I will get the parts from either of these 2.

The plate you bent out of the way is the separator plate just so you know. Yes the nail must be removed to get the shaft out. To be honest I have done just as you did with bending the separator plate so no harm there. 8678347 the GM part # for the nail you broke if you can't find one. I know that some linkage shaft kits will come with this nail if it is a GM part FYI. Vince
