Default Grinding noise after converter swap??

Hi, I recently swapped out my stock converter for an SS3600 and am having some problems. At low speed light throttle lockup I will hear a grinding noise coming from the transmission. As soon as it unlocks the noise goes away. The noise comes and goes. I've checked the bolts and flex plate with no sign of anything wrong. This only happens when cruising below 30mph and the converter locks up. Has anybody else had this problem? Or know what the problem might be?
