As far as I know , the shifters for the Gibbs and RST trucks are the stock shifter mechanism with a Hurst stick designed to screw onto the stock unit ( too look better than the golf club ). I have tried the Hurst unit with different sticks , and don'like it too well. It is hard to differenciate (sp) between 3rd and 5th. All the movement or throws are quit a bit shorter than stock. I modified my stock shifter , which I like better now. I put a 3/8" spacer under the shifter mech. and raised the ball and dowell pin hole up a like amount. Put a Hurst lever and ball on it .I like the way it works now , in between the Hurst and stock units.
