Default setting up traction bars

I have pulled my bottom leaf spring and it wheels hops like a bitch. So i got a set of traction bars made for my truck. They are just a set of leaf spring slapper bars. I need to no how much of a gap to put between the bump stop and the end of the leaf spring???

I typically have always liked for them to be just making contact. That gives you some movement room for ride quality as well as keeping the pinion in line during acceleration.
