Question Servos?

I see servos in alot of sig's but what are they for, I know it has something to do with the tranny, any details on them, and where I can get one would be great.

vette servo replaces the 2nd gear servo and firms up the 1-2 shift and holds the second gear band a little tighter od servo basically same thing for 4th gear just helps the tranny out a little bit. You can get them on ebay sponsors to the right may have some just google it. You have a 4l80e in your truck so the vette servo wont work I dont know off hand if they make servos for the 80e dont know much about them.

to say the least bad ***. i dont really know about power gains, i think i felt something but gas mileage is definately better, i towed 8000lbs through the rocky mountains and hung out in 3rd gear most of the time and managed to get 10-11 mpg. Not a real complaint to 14 on the highway with no load.
